THE "CENTRE FRANÇAIS DE LA COULEUR"
The « Centre Français de la Couleur » was created in 1976 and is the French representative of the International Colour Association (AIC), which includes 35 countries. CFC is, above all, a center for the exchange of ideas, on a national and international level, through enhanced communication and cooperation between those of all disciplines and professions involved in the culture of colour. The CFC's two main missions are :
- To be a means of enhanced communication.
- To promote research projects and training programs.
COMMUNICATION
- The CFC will make available to its members various means of communication : an Internet site, seminars, colloquiums, published reviews, etc. Each member of the CFC has access to the center's documents, reviews and journals published since the centre's creation such as Information Colour; to letters and periodicals such as Primaires; to the acts and minutes of the meetings of the congress, as well as to the centre's database always a work-in-progress.
PROMOTION OF RESEARCH PROJECTS AND TRAINING PROGRAMS
- Research : The CFC hopes to better coordinate individual research projects so as to better take advantage of the natural liaison between the research laboratories and the areas of application.
- Training and Apprenticeships : Aside from publishing the time and place of existing programs, the CFC also offers study days, competitions, and courses in colour theory.
- Professionals : With the help of its members and interested enterprises and associations, the CFC tries to advance innovative projects, elucidate the legal considerations of these projects, and to uncover and make known new and emerging work in the field.
- Our public : The « Centre Français de la Couleur » is open to all actors in, and all interested in, the culture of colour.
